LittleB is 3 months today!!

What's new with LittleB....

LittleB loves to pick up toys that have rings for her to grab and heads straight for the mouth.  She will sometimes hold them with both hands.  She also likes to look at herself in the mirror and laugh and smile. 

This week I have started getting her and the dogs a little more used to each other.  So when LittleB starts chasing after them they won't be so scared of her.  I think Alexis (the weimaraner) will do better than Kay Kay (half blue heeler and half rat terrier) when it comes to LittleB trying to play with them.  Kay Kay seems scared when LittleB starts wiggling or moving her hands really fast, but both dogs love to lick on her (which is something mommy is trying to get used to).  I still clean her hands and face before LittleB has a chance to put her hands back in her mouth after a tongue bath from the dogs!

Today we took her in to get her weighed and she weights 12 lbs and 13 oz.  Wow, she's growing up too fast!

Father's Day

June 21, 2009, was R's first Father's Day and he got the best gift he could have asked for - LittleB decided to roll.  PRICELESS!!!  Does that mean she's going to be a daddy's girl?! :D   We went to church today and LittleB was getting fussy so we decided to head up to the family viewing room.  It's a room that is sound proof but you can still see and hear the service.  I laid LittleB beside me to try and get her to fall asleep and she decided she was going to lay on her right side and then continued to roll on her tummy.  We were both so excited and proud of her that I immediately pick her up and told her how proud of her I am!  It was so awesome that she did it while R was around and on Father's Day was a huge bonus.  Then I decided to lay her back down to make sure what we had just experienced was real and she did it for a second time.  She just amazes us each and every day!

We also took her 3 month pictures this weekend.  I know it's a couple of week early, but the next few weekends are going to be really busy with 4th of July get-togethers.

3 Year Anniversary and Family Update

On June 10, 2009, R and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary.  It has been a great 3 years!  What I have learned throughout those years is the key to a great relationship is to put God first, communicate about everything, and then love and support each other in every aspect of life (EVEN if you don't always agree with your spouse's decision)!

As we waited for our dinner last night R was holding LittleB and asked her "Why did I wait till I was 30 to have you?"  I started to really think about that statement while I was holding LittleB today.  Then I realized we wouldn't be who/where we are at today if we hadn't waited.  Our marriage wouldn't be as strong as it is now, we wouldn't have the things we have or the experiences we have had leading up to this moment. One of the best things about waiting is that I am able to stay home with LittleB and that's important to me. Sure, R is going to be almost 50 by the time LittleB goes to college (yikes!), but I'll still be young. ;p

I am so lucky to have such a great wonderful husband, not to mention a loving daddy for LittleB.  He is so good to her!  She is SO precious!

Today, June 11, 2009, LittleB had her first trip to the library for story time.  She was the youngest there but I think it's still important to go because she can listen to the stories - plus she really liked watching the other babies crawl and walk around.

She's getting cuter each and everyday.  She just loves to laugh and smile!  Here is some more pictures that I took this week, but she is WAY cuter in person.  :D

Grandma and Grandpa B Came To Visit

My parents came up on Saturday and stayed the night. I think they were getting homesick for LittleB. At least now I know how to get them to come up more often!  :D  We did some shopping and Grandpa found a cute onesie at Target that said "Grandma's little doll" so Grandma bought it. While shopping I found a cute Fourth of July dress so I'll post pictures when the fourth comes. 

I just love to see my parents act so crazy over LittleB. We are so lucky to have her in our life and to see her grow into a beautiful young lady!

LittleB is 2 Months Today

Our Little girl is growing so fast.  It just seems like yesterday I was finding out I was pregnant.  Today R and I took her in for her first major set of shots.  She got 3 shots in her little legs.  Thank goodness we didn't have to hold her down!  The nurses laid her on the table and gave the shots to her.  She was very upset - I have never seen my baby cry so much!!  She started holding her breath for a second.  The crying lasted for a few minutes and then she went to sleep.  The Tylenol must have kicked in!  

LittleB weighs 11 lbs and 3.75 oz and her height is 23.75 inches.  Compared to other little girls LittleB is in the 80 percentile for weight and 97 percentile for height, and her little head is in the 24 percentile.

What LittleB has been up to this week.

LittleB will be two months on Tuesday!  She also goes in for her two month check-up that day.  I am not looking forward to it because she has to get shots, but I am excited to see how much she has grown.

She is so cute to wake up to in the mornings because she just smiles and laughs at you in the morning.  She starts my day off great by giving me the little smiles and laughs, it's the small things in life that matter the most!  Plus, how could you not be in a good mood to wake up to something like that?!  She brings so much joy to our lives!

On another note, she is such an active baby.  We had to stop using her body wedge this week because she just wiggles right out of it.  I guess she decided she didn't need it anymore.

Being a Happy Baby!!

LittleB at 7 weeks

It has been quite the week!  Wednesday night when I gave LittleB a bath she decided she wanted to poop it her bathtub.  She really does like baths; maybe that's her way of getting more time in the water.  :D

She is also becoming more active when she sleeps at night.  I have been finding her in totally different positions! Soon she will be rolling over!  She also will not let me cover her arms and hands, and most of the time she kicks and wiggles her way out from under the covers. 

I also noticed she is starting to develop a personality.  She doesn't get upset very often but when she does she lets you know!  She will stick out her bottom lip and give us a pouty look and turn bright red in the face!!

It's been 6 weeks

It's crazy that LittleB is at her 6 weeks mark.  I have noticed that she is starting to pay attention to objects and smiling more, but other than that she hasn't changed that much since last week.  We are very anxious to see who she will end up looking like.

If I wasn't able to stay home with her it would be harder for me to blog about all the great things she does.  I am so lucky to have the option to stay home!  I just couldn't imagine not being with my baby everyday.  Plus, I wouldn't be able to take all the wonderful pictures to share with everyone.  Last week was my first week with my home daycare.  I am watching one other child so it keeps me very busy. 

I also had a great first Mother's Day.  R made breakfast, then asked me to make a list of things I wanted done around the house and he did them for me.  I even got a nap, which I don't get anymore.  Then for dinner we went to Cracker Barrel.  It was a great and wonderful day that I won't forget and I'm looking forward to many more.  I am so blessed to have a wonderful loving husband and a beautiful daughter!

LittleB at 5 weeks

LittleB has started losing her hair (it actually started to fall out toward the end of week 4) and growing in lighter hair.  I think she is going to be a blonde just like her mommy! :D   I am hoping her eyes stay the color they are now because they are so pretty, but I guess we'll see.  I am just so blessed to have such a good baby.  She usually only gets fussy right before bedtime.  Then once's she falls asleep she will sleep until I wake her to eat.  Something funny she does sometimes at night is babble until she falls asleep.  Don't you just wish you knew what baby said?!  We took her in on Saturday May 9th to get weighed - she now weighs 9 lbs and 6 oz which is a gain of 11 oz in 9 days!  Something we have discovered is we can't use off-brand wipes because they cause her to break out.  It's also a sad time because I had to box up her newborn clothing.

I hope every mom has a wonderful Mother's day!
