8 Months Already...

When LittleB got better at pulling up on stuff she decided to start standing up in her crib while it was time to take naps.  The first time she did that was on Nov. 21, 09.  Then a night or two later she woke up in the middle of the night and was standing up.  It was like 3:00AM and she was WIDE awake where mommy was not.  She has gotten better about not getting up, hopefully the new/fun has worn off.

LittleB started CRAWLING on Nov. 22, 09, at 2:30PM.  It was so exciting for mommy and daddy!  Yep, she waited for daddy to be around, too.  Before that I kept telling R that she would be crawling before Thanksgiving.  She has been all over the place and climbs on EVERYTHING.  It is so cute to see her follow you from room to room and sometimes if she's not done with a toy she will carry it in one hand while she follows.  She LOVES to dance anytime she hears music she starts moving.  It is the cutest thing!  Maybe she will be on DWTS someday!  LOL

Then just a few days later LittleB got her two top central incisors on Nov. 24 or 25, 09.  I have a feeling that she may be getting some more because she hasn't been sleeping well again.  It will be nice when she is done teething for at least for a while.

We put up the Christmas Tree on Sunday and she loved it so much that she didn't want to take a nap.  I even got R to decorate the outside some.  I am so excited for Christmas even if she just wants to play with the boxes or wrapping paper.

Loves bath time.

A Lot Going on at 7 1/2 Months for LittleB

Mommy has been very busy trying to get things done for LittleB.  She is currently working on a scrapbook for LittleB and filling in pictures in other scrapbooks that people made her.  She is also working on another project for her birthday.  It's crazy that I'm already thinking about her first Birthday but it will be here before we know it.  Not only has mommy had a lot going on but so has LittleB.

On Nov.10, 2009, was the first time LittleB fell asleep on her tummy but she hasn't done it since.  She must really like sleeping on her back! :D  Then on Nov. 12, her two front bottom teeth broke the gum.  Boy, the week leading up to the teeth breaking the gum she was waking up 2-4 times a night.  It felt like the week we brought her home from the hospital.  Now her two front top teeth look like they are going to break the gum any day.  I sure hope so, because once again she is waking up 2-4 times a night.  Then on Nov. 13, 2009,  LittleB mastered the crawling position back into a sitting position.  She is really close to crawling forward - she will move both knees once then go backwards and sit up.   She also likes to get on her knees and rock back and forth.  She is already pretty mobile and she isn't even crawling yet. She rolls, moves backwards, and pulls up on things.  She loves music and will move her head back and forth (like she is dancing).

She has already started testing her boundaries.  She will crab the computer cord or phone charger cord and look at you when she does it.  She waits to see if you will take it from her or continue to let her play with it.

We are very excited for the holidays since it will be LittleB's first one.  We have decided to have Christmas at home because we want her to have the memories of Santa coming to her home. :D

We are so Thankful that we have LittleB in our lives.  She truly is a blessing!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!

Happy 7 Months LittleB

On Oct. 28, 2009, LittleB was sitting in her crib while mommy was dressing her and she reached for the crib and pulled herself up. She is also pulling up on other things.  She still isn't crawling but starting to try more.  The past couple of days her teeth have been really hurting her and she's even been waking up 2-3 times a night.  On top of that she got sick on Friday and just now really starting to get back to herself.  Her doctor said it could take up to a week to get completely over it.  On another note she has an amazing pediatrician - he called on Sunday to check on her when he wasn't even on call then he wanted me to do a follow up today.    Happy 7 months LittleB!!!!   Mommy and Daddy loves you so much!!!

LittleB at 6 1/2 months

Our baby girl is changing and growing like a weed.  She has been pushing her self backwards when she's on her tummy.  She would much rather you help her stand.  She has very strong hands so she tries really hard to pull herself up on things when she is sitting.  So mommy thinks as soon as she crawls she will be very quick to taking steps.  I am not sure if I am ready for all of that because then it means my little girl is getting closer to being a toddler than a baby.  On a good positive note she will become even more fun!  LittleB says MAMA, BABA, and started saying DADA last week.  B was excited that she said MAMA first!  Oh and LittleB decided that peaches are not her favorite fruit.  She must take that after daddy because mommy loves peaches.  I have posted lots of pictures so I hope it's not too much to look at.  :D

Gary's Berries

We went to Gary's Berries on Oct. 4th, 2009. Or should I say Gary's Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival. Officially they renamed it. Unofficially, it's still Gary's Berries. The name rhymes too well to call it anything else.  Bailey was excited to see pig races, go on a hayrack ride, and hang out in a pumpkin patch. Enjoy the photos.

6 Month Check-up

LittleB weighs 16 lbs 10 oz and was 27 and 1/4 inches long. She got really upset when they asked us to undress her to get her weighed. It was when we laid her down on that bed (with the paper) that she started crying and continued to cry pretty much the entire time. We are pretty sure she remembers getting shots from her 4 month check-up because of the way she acted. She also got 4 shots, one of which was a flu vaccine. Now we have to take her back in a month to get another flu shot. R had to hold her hands down so she couldn't reach the needles. I'm so glad he is able to come with me! He is just a great help when it comes to that even if he doesn't like it. I feel like this is the hardest thing for R and I. She will be good on shots till she turns one year old.  I was told not only will she receive shots at the 1 year checkup but also get blood drawn. That should be fun time for all of us <sarcasm>!

Here are some of her 6 month pictures and her in her Halloween outfit.

Happy 6 months LittleB

I just can't believe it that my baby is already 6 months old!  Where has the time gone?!  She is getting more fun everyday though.

LittleB has been pacifier free since Monday September 28, 2009.  I have a story behind that!  A few weeks ago we tried taking her pacifier away at night because I've slowly started reducing the amount I let her have it.  But it was too soon and she cried for over 30 minutes so we  gave it back and figured we would try at a later time. She paid us back that night by waking up every two hours to remind us that she wanted her pacifier!  Then on Monday I put some batteries in her musical toy with a projector. She was awed by the projector that I thought I would try the no pacifier again. I checked on her about 10 minutes later and she was out.  So the next day came and I figured since she slept all night without it that she really didn't need it anymore.  She whined a little at nap and then just a little at bed time and by the Thursday she had forgot all about it.  It was a slow weaning; she started by limiting it to the crib and only getting it at naps and bedtime.  Something else I did was a few months ago started letting her sleep with her puppy (KSU puppy I might add) that some friends got her and she really loves it.  I think it was all around good timing!

On another note LittleB goes in Monday for her 6 month check-up and she has to get 3 shots. I'm thinking it's going to be harder because this time she is more alert each time we go. However I am excited to see how tall and how much she weighs.

We have her 6 months pictures tomorrow at JCPenney so I will post those pictures as soon as we get them back.

September 2009

Well, just a quick update on LittleB for those of you who would like to know.  LittleB will grab onto things and try to pull herself up but needs help to actually get in the standing position.  She also will be laying down and try really hard to sit up but of course doesn't have the strength yet to do it.  She is sitting up really well!  She's still not crawling and no teeth yet.  She has actually been in a good mood lately so I'm thinking that maybe the teething is letting up for now.  LittleB will be 6 months on Friday!  WOW, it sure doesn't seem like she should be a half of a year already!  R and I think her looks are changing again so I'm sure they will probably keep changing for awhile.  Most of these pictures were taken last weekend and this weekend.  Enjoy!!!

LittleB is sitting up

LittleB was 5 months and a week old when she started sitting up.  She just amazes me every day with something cute or new.  I just love it!!!  Friday I gave  her a sippy cup for the first time and she grabbed it and put it right to her mouth.  It was such a cute moment!  I don't think she actually got any water to come out but she sure was trying.  She just started to sit up all by herself this week.  It's amazing how she has changed so much!  LittleB will take your hands and pull up so mommy's thinking the next thing she will be doing is pulling up on things.  She rolls over some but it's not her favorite thing to do. She would rather be sitting up or standing with help.  LittleB is still working on her crawling moves but mommy thinks it might be a few months before she crawls; but who knows, she surprises me all the time!  Daddy is really ready for her to crawl now but mommy is okay with whenever because she is growing up too fast.  Her favorite animals seems to be dogs and horses.  Can you tell her personality is really starting to show?! :D  She really likes oatmeal but doesn't care much for the rice cereal.  She's tried sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, so far and will be starting green beans and peas this week.  So far she likes all her veggies!   She gets to try the same food for 4 days to make sure she isn't allergic to it.  Enjoy the pictures!
