We went to Chicago the second week in May. Here are pictures from Thursday.
Shedd Aquarium
Family shot
LittleB loved the dolphins.
LittleB really liked it up on the ledge.
I believe this is a Beluga Whale
Outside
What a beautiful day!
Outside – with Chicago skyline in the background
Chicago friends that we were with on Thursday
We walked from Shedd Aquarium up to Millenium Park
Millenium Park
The BP Bridge – a pretty bridge…
Jay Pritzker Pavilion - this is a definite work of art
The beams are supposed to signify sound waves.
Cloud Gate - this is known as the bean to Chicago natives.
We were pretty small up next to this thing.
You can get dizzy on the inside if you look up!
The Crown Fountain – see faces, get wet.
Why the long face?
Some runners stopped by to get soaked
M and his daughter head out into the pool.
Chasing a duck
Walking to Dinner
The elevated rail system looked historical.
The famous Chicago Theater
Interesting building
People back their cars up to the little wire at the edge of these round parking garages. I’d be a little worried parking in here.
Dinner at Brazzaz
The other couple we were with smiling for the camera
You have a coin with two sides – this side is for no food.
When you flip your coin over, you start getting food.
A Brazilian cowboy stopping by with a sharp knife and meat on a stick to hook you up with some good food.
John Hancock Observatory
The Observatory is on the 94th floor
A night view from inside
