What's New with Us

Wow, it's been a crazy busy start of the New Year!  We were hoping for things to start to slow down, but with R's mom getting sick it hasn't.

Sadly, R's mom was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, multiple strokes and multiple seizures. We've spent some time visiting her at the hospital but she's been mostly comatose up to this point. She has started to respond more to the treatments (she responds to pain and lifts fingers on command starting this week) and we are getting some response so we are very blessed for that. We're keeping her in our thoughts and prayers and hoping for a full recovery.

On a positive note, LittleB is growing up into a beautiful little girl.  She has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth and is 9 1/2 months.  She just started taking steps this week.  She has taken 2 steps all by herself and will stand without holding on to anything for a few seconds.  She also loves to rock on her rocking horse!  Another favorite activity of hers is to rock her babies and stuffed animals. She even pats them on the back!  Such a good little mommy!  :D 

She is already testing her parents because when she is messing with something she isn't supposed to she looks at you like "What are you going to do about it?".  You would think a person could easy distract her, but not this girl she will go right back even after several minutes. Babies are smarter than we give them credit for.

Mommy has already started planning her 1st birthday and has the majority of it planned. When it goes to major events B likes to get them started early because she's not a last minute kind of person. She brings so much joy into our life!!!  Enjoy the pictures!

 

She has really outgrown this but wants in it all the time - so mommy puts her in it to cook dinner.  Good thing she loves her rocking horse now.

Didn't sleep well in the pack-n-play so we let her take a nap in the bed while staying with Aunt A and visiting R's mom in the hospital.
