LittleB 18 Months Check-Up

Today LittleB had her 18 Month Check-Up.  LittleB weight was 20 lbs and 15.5 oz.  Her height was 34.25 inches and still in the 97 percentile.  Her head circumference was 17.52 inches. She is a very healthy little girl!

What LittleB has been up to at 15-16 Months

We really have been loving the summer time and going to the pool when we can.  LittleB LOVES the water!!!  She knows most of her body parts and many words.  She’s like a sponge when it comes to learning. We noticed when she was around 6 months that she was very dominant with her right hand.  She had a good chance at being a lefty since R is but it looks like she took the right handedness from her mommy.  :D  She is a very active and fearless little girl which keeps mommy very busy.  So if you’ve been wondering why I haven’t wrote a blog post in awhile that’s why. In July we took her to her first Royals game.  It was very hot but she did pretty good for as hot as it was out.  Next time we go we are going when it has cooled down.  She also loves her gymnastics class and is doing really well.  She loves to hang on the bar and point her toes up.  Last night we were surprised at how long she could hang on and pull herself up.  She is a very strong little girl.  She also likes doing head stands.  We took her to the Shawnee County fair a few weeks ago and she loved looking at the animals.

LittleB’s 15 Month Check Up

On July 12, 2010, LittleB had her 15 month appointment.  She weighed 20 lbs 7oz which puts her in the 10 percentile for weight.  As for her height she is still really tall 33” which puts her at the 97 percentile.  Then her head measured at 44cm and she is in the 5 percentile for that. Then we were told that she needed to get blood drawn to check for lead and some other things. Darn for LittleB, she almost got to an appointment that she didn’t have to get shots or poked! It would have been her first time on blood draws. I say first time because they couldn’t find a vein. She is a strong little girl. Daddy held her down and tried to keep her attention on him, but the nurse had to get another nurse to hold her arm still so she could concentrate with the needle. None of this was fun for LittleB.

And we GET to go back and try again in a few days.

LittleB has been keeping her parents very busy this summer.  We are really enjoying the nice weather and being able to be outside as much as possible. LittleB has a couple of birthday parties this month and always has fun at those.  We found ourselves at Kiddie Park one of the weekends.  Also R’s cousin J and D came up to visit us and we had a blast.  We really did enjoy their stay!!
