LittleB at 4 1/2 months

On August 10, 2009,  LittleB had cereal for the first time.  At that time she took a few bites and then started to cry, but now she loves it.  We started LittleB early on riding rides so that way as she gets older we hope she will continue to like them.  So far she seems to enjoy them.  Today, August 22, 2009, R had his work picnic at the park so while we were there we decided to put LittleB in the baby swing for the first time.  She had so much fun!

She flips over from her back to her tummy but still hasn't figured out how to flip from her tummy to her back.  Once she is on her back she tries so hard to crawl but just doesn't seem to have the body strength just quite yet.  She does really good at sitting up with support and standing on her legs.  We just can't believe much she has grown and changed in just 4 1/2 months! Hope everyone is enjoying the pictures that I post.  She's getting cuter everyday!

LittleB and Her First Vacation

LittleB went on her first vacation to Branson, MO, from August 6-9, 2009.  LittleB did much better than R or I expected!  She slept really good in her pack-n-play but did get tired of the long ride in the car seat. It took us quite awhile to get down and back and I don't think we could have had our vacation without help from my parents.  Going on vacation with a 4 month old is incredibly difficult, even with one as easy going as LittleB! Somehow we managed and she took it pretty easy on us, even allowing Grandma to watch her while R and I went out on two dates over the course of three days!

She is making noises all the time now and sometimes it actually sounds like a word!  We just can't believe how much she has changed in 4 months! Enjoy all of the photos...there is quite a few this time!

Did we get the car packed? I don't remember taking all of this "stuff" last year!

4 month check-up

On August 3, 2009, LittleB weighed in at 14 lbs and 1 oz and is 26 inches long.  We are getting ready to start introducing cereal to her.  She only had to get 2 shots this time and did pretty good.

Moments that make us laugh

On Wednesday July 29th, 2009,  we took the dogs in for their shots.  LittleB was getting fussy on the way home and when we were almost home Alexis (the weimaraner) jumped up on the back of the seat and LittleB went from screaming to laughing.  She thought that was the funniest thing!  Then her other doggy (Kay Kay) was rolling around on the floor earlier that day and LittleB just started to laugh.  She is definitely starting to notice things around her.  The last few weeks she has started really playing with toys like banging on them, reaching for object that you put in front of her, and hanging onto them. Of course most things go straight for the mouth - especially mommy and daddy's fingers.

She started rolling all the time on July 22nd, 2009.  She rolls from back to tummy but won't roll tummy to back just yet.  I think she is at a fun stage for us now that she can hold her head up.  R likes to fly her around in the air and make airplane sounds.

Monday she goes in for her 4 month appointment and more shots.

LittleB at 3 1/2 months

LittleB makes all kinds of different sounds and loves your attention.  I just don't see how anyone gets house work done with little kids. :D  Her feet has became one of her favorite things to play with!  She has also started reaching for toys.

Yesterday we had our first family picnic at the park and then took LittleB to the zoo.  This was the first time she was actually awake for the entire zoo trip.  Another one of her favorite activities is daily stroller rides.  She just loves to be outside!  She also seems to enjoy story time at the library.  She is very alert and loves to watch the other babies.

LittleB is 3 months today!!

What's new with LittleB....

LittleB loves to pick up toys that have rings for her to grab and heads straight for the mouth.  She will sometimes hold them with both hands.  She also likes to look at herself in the mirror and laugh and smile. 

This week I have started getting her and the dogs a little more used to each other.  So when LittleB starts chasing after them they won't be so scared of her.  I think Alexis (the weimaraner) will do better than Kay Kay (half blue heeler and half rat terrier) when it comes to LittleB trying to play with them.  Kay Kay seems scared when LittleB starts wiggling or moving her hands really fast, but both dogs love to lick on her (which is something mommy is trying to get used to).  I still clean her hands and face before LittleB has a chance to put her hands back in her mouth after a tongue bath from the dogs!

Today we took her in to get her weighed and she weights 12 lbs and 13 oz.  Wow, she's growing up too fast!
